A Word About me

Fr. Bartholomew Landry, C.S.P.

Fr. Bart Landry, C.S.P. is an ordained member of the Missionary Society of St. Paul the Apostle (The Paulist Fathers).  Fr. Bart was born in the small town of Church Point Louisiana where his family still reside.  He began his studies for the priesthood at the age of 14 years old at Divine Word High School Seminary in East Troy Wisconsin.  He then studied at St. Meinrad Seminary College in St. Meinrad, Indiana. 

Fr. Bart Completed his undergraduate studies in Philosophy at St. Benedict College Seminary in St. Benedict, Louisiana.  He then entered St. Bernard Abbey in Cullman, Alabama and professed vows as a Benedictine  Monk.  As a young Monk, he began theological studies at St. Vincent Archabbey in Latrobe, Pennsylvania.  It was during this period of study that Fr. Bart discerned a call to the apostolic life and preaching apostolate.

In 2001 Fr. Bart entered the Paulist Fathers novitiate in Washington, DC.  He then completed his studies in theology at The Washington Theological Union and The Catholic University of America, both in Washington DC.  Fr. Bart was ordained to the priesthood in 2007.  Since his ordination, he has served as Associate Pastor in Chicago, Illinois, and Associate Pastor and Pastor of Old St. Mary's Cathedral in San Francisco, California.  He has had the opportunity to offer spiritual direction, parish missions and revivals, parish days of recollection and retreats throughout the Bay Area as well as internationally.  Currently he now serves as a consultor on the General Council (Governing Body) of his community and also full-time preaching apostolate.  Fr. Bart's passion is preaching the WORD and "Giving the Gospel a Voice Today".
